Matt fishes. Matt hunts. Matt is a go-getter. These are all prerequisites for catching the woman of your dreams… the tools he used to Catch Emily and reel her in! It takes patience, hope, and endurance to find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. Someone to catch and to keep, to love and to hold. Emily and Matt had their official wedding January 7th amongst a small group of family. Check it out here. But this day, April 7th, was equally important and special not only because they had lots of friends and family there to celebrate with them, but because this wedding took place on Matt’s birthday! To top it off, the number 7 is a number they both LOVE.
I was so excited to come shoot their wedding again and to see Emily in her white dress! She looked gorgeous! She put so much thought into their wedding theme which reflects their love for the outdoors and especially Matt’s love of fishing. Emily had fish at their sweet heart table swimming in vases, fish bottle openers for the party favors and my favorite part…a bass fish shaped cake! The other traditional cake had the groom fishing on the top tier with a ring dangling from the hook with the bride on the bottom tier reaching for the ring! That is one way to lure in your love…use shiny big objects! You are bound to get a bite!
Emily also included things in the wedding that reflected pieces of who she is as well. She had her dog walk down the aisle with the ring and stand next to the Best Man and instead of heels she wore nude colored glove shoes! She said, “Why would I spend a lot of money on a pair of shoes I will never wear again?” Thus the Glove Shoe was purchased! Not sure what those are??…check them out below. You may find yourself with wedding shoe envy…so comfortable! I had her put these shoes to use by having her run at me down a hill just to make sure they worked. They do
Emily and Matt are so right for each other…I am so glad Emily waited for the right man to catch her!
