It is more than the “Happiest Place on Earth” to Corina and Mario, Disneyland is the place where the happiest chapter of their Love Story took place! Â It was a tradition to go to Disneyland every year, so when they went on Corina’s birthday as well as their 2 year anniversary last October, there was no suspicions that a ring was traveling on all the rides with them. Â I might add, there is a lot of risk involved with rollercoasters and hidden rings…eeek! Â That risk didn’t keep Mario from waiting for the perfect moment to ask Corina to be his wife. Â It ended like all fairytales end…the clock struck 11:00PM, the fireworks went off above the castle, and there he was, the love of her life, down on one knee professing his love to her. Â It was magical. Â It was perfect. Â She said, “Yes” amongst a sea of other happy people, but none were as happy as she was this night…this night was her story to tell. Â There was a Disneyland photographer conveniently located where he proposed. Â The stars were aligned perfectly because as fate would have it, his proposal was captured and frozen in time for them always to look back on and remember those special moments.
The best part of being a photographer is meeting people like Corina and Mario. Â They share an undeniable love for life, and an even bigger love for each other. Â They are meant to be. Â When they told me they wanted to do The Mission Carmel and Carmel Beach for their engagement photos, I was Thrilled! Â There is no place I would rather be than on a beach or historical place with my camera and a couple in love. Â The day was perfect. Â Everything about it! Â Not only did I use my 2 new lenses on this shoot, 50mm 1.2L and 70-200mm 2.8L IS II, which were awesome, I put myself out of my comfort zone by keeping my go to lens in the bag…the 24-70mm 2.8L…my first lens, my baby. Â It really was a challenge to mostly use the 50mm, but I think there is a new love in the air, and I cannot wait to get this baby on my camera again. Â More movement is involved as it is a prime lens with no zoom, so I got my sprint workout in, moving forwards and backwards and sideways! Â Who needs a gym when you have a prime lens right? Â Ok, just another justification I like to throw out there for quitting the gym. Â Full time job, full time photographer, who has time? Â Sorry, justification #2 🙂 …bad habit.
I absolutely cannot wait to see Corina on her wedding day! Â She is going to be breathtaking, and I am so honored to be there to capture the next best love story they will every tell.
