  • Welcome

    Hello! My name is Heather and I am so happy you stopped by! This blog is a place where I will share love stories of amazing couples who I had the honor of photographing. It is a place where I can express my passion with images where my words fall short. Photography has changed my life drastically and I am so thankful that God has blessed me with this gift. I wish I could say the same thing about my singing voice, but what can you do?!

A Little Italy & A Lot of Love ~ Sonia & Eric’s North Beach Wedding ~ {San Francisco, Ca}

It was all meant to be!  It had to be with the way it all worked out.  They met while running in a marathon…if you are gonna meet the one person you are gonna spend forever with, why not meet while accomplishing the most difficult feat the human body can go through?…you guessed it, I don’t run long distances…unless I am being chased.  They soon realized they had mutual friends and this incredible girl found herself hanging out with this incredible guy at his apartment they now share as a married couple.  The best part about this apartment in North Beach besides the fact that it is where they fell in love, got engaged, and found they share the same love for fine wine…is it was on that very rooftop of this very apartment where Eric first laid eyes on Sonia as she approached him in all her beauty on their wedding day.

It was absolutely perfect.  He stood waiting for her on their rooftop that overlooked all of North Beach, but most importantly, it overlooked Saint Peter and Paul’s Cathedral, the very place where he would be vowing to love and protect her.  The day couldn’t have been better.  The sky was blue, the cathedral shining brightly in the distance, and the sun fully out…that’s right, no clouds, no fog.  (Mental Note: only get married in October if you plan to marry in the city) What more can you ask for on your wedding day!?

It was so special for me to be a part of this wedding.  Sonia and I got to know each other many years ago through mutual friends and I always knew that she and Eric would someday be husband and wife.  When she asked me to be a second shooter at her wedding I was honored.  When she introduced me to the person I would be second shooting for, I was THRILLED!  It has been so great shooting with Stephanie Secrest not only at this wedding but on other occasions when needed.  She is so talented and just the nicest person you will ever meet!   We just have so much fun shooting together and it feels awesome to be included in her network of photographers!  Here’s to an awesome couple and a beautiful life together filled with even more special memories to be made in the little Italy of San Francisco….the place where it all began 🙂

As you can see, I was in charge of the dudes 🙂

    Lydia - You totally captured the fun and the regal qualities of the event! I also see what you meant about the lighting for the reception – totally works! I especially love the father-daughter dance shots 😉ReplyCancel
