New to Washington DC, Shauna was filled with anticipation and hope for what her future held in this amazing city.  What she didn’t realize is that soon after moving there, she would meet the man who would change her life forever.  It all started on Saturday, March 24, 2012 when Shauna and some friends were warming their souls at an Irish whiskey & cigar restaurant called Jack Rose.
I think it is important to enter a Side Note here for single ladies: Â Whiskey, Cigars, & food = best place EVERÂ to meet an eligible bachelor. Â End Side Note.
Not really even looking to meet anyone that night or even any time soon, Shauna couldn’t help but notice the tall, dark, and handsome guy across the bar.  With a little bit of liquid courage running through her veins, she went over to him and not knowing exactly what to do “accidentally” bumped into him.  As he turned to look, he was pleasantly surprised to see a beautiful girl standing next to him.  They immediately started chatting and found themselves lost in conversation for the next few hours.  There was definitely chemistry between them and Nick knew he had to see her again.  He got her number and called her the next day!  POINTS for Nick!  As they told me this story, he said that when you see something that is so wonderful you have to go after it.  He spent the next few weeks pursuing her with their first and second dates just a few days apart.  They have been inseparable ever since.  Two years later he sealed the deal and completely surprised her with a proposal! The Jack Rose holds a very special place in their lives and they sometimes find themselves back at there to relive that night when their lives changed forever.
I cannot tell you how amazing these two are!  They exude positive energy like a bright light and I could not be more honored that I get to photograph their wedding in June.  I absolutely love Shauna’s sister, who I went to Cal Poly with, and cannot wait to meet the rest of the family!  I had so much fun getting to know you both during our session and hope you enjoy this little teaser from our time at Palace of Fine Arts and Baker Beach.
On my drive home from Baker Beach, this view struck me and I HAD to pullover! Â A view that never gets old or tired.
